We worked with Daniel on the conversion of two existing Grade B listed townhouses from a single office to 9no flats. From the beginning it was evident that Daniel understood and appreciated our design and was eager to ensure that it was realised without compromise. He effectively communicated the design principles to his team on site which ensured that all were aware of the required level of attention and execution. His ability to foresee and be proactive in resolving problems that might affect either the design or the programme was invaluable. Daniel’s excellent attention to detail is clearly evident in all nine completed flats and we would be keen to work with him in future projects.
We have worked with Daniel on a number of projects involving the conversion or alterations to Listed and historic buildings. A recent project includes the conversion of an A-listed townhouse in Edinburgh’s prestigious New Town into 5 luxury apartments. This townhouse included the sensitive refurbishment and preservation of the existing features alongside the insertion of new alterations to create these contemporary and luxurious apartments. Daniel follows the drawing packages and our instructions diligently and intelligently, communicating to his team the high standards that are expected and consistently provided. He keeps the lines of communication open at all times between all parties, resolving any issues that arise quickly and professionally. He deals effectively with all challenges thrown at him and we would have no hesitation in working with him again, and would highly recommend him and his team.
